Hi.

I’m David. I’m a staff product manager at The Washington Post where I lead product strategy for the homepage, article layouts, multimedia content and breaking news coverage.

Previously at The Post, I led the product strategy for our 2025 Election coverage including live election results, a swing state vote tracker, and The Post's first-ever iOS live activity. I also led our product strategy and rebuild of the Recipes product line. I have a passion for news, a background in engineering, and love bringing teams together to create incredible user experiences.
Before joining The Post, I studied Computer Science and Creative Writing at Northwestern University where I graduated with honors. My capstone project, a forty-page narrative poetry collection called "The Escapist", was the recipient of the Mary Kinzie Prize for Poetry. I was also a four-year member of Northwestern’s triathlon team and served as captain my senior year.

In my free time, I train for marathons and ultramarathons, eat a lot, backpack the national parks, and go on a lot of long road trips that probably should be flights. I also still write some fiction.
